08/22/2007 The American University of Iraq-Sulmaini is pleased to announce the admittance of its first student for the fall semester  2007. Bayad Jamal Ali, a resident of Sulaimani, is a graduate of Shourish High School (2007) and will join the Founding Class of AUI-S for the Bachelor of Business Administration in Management & Policy Studies program. Bayad is excited about the opportunity to study as a student at AUI-S. His long term plans are to help build on an already successful family business. Classes are to begin in the middle of October 2007.
The American University of Iraq-Sulmainia is a non-profit institution of higher learning utilizing the American model of undergraduate and graduate education in the Middle East. The vision of AUI-S is to be the foremost educational institution in the development of future leaders of Kurdistan, Iraq and the Middle East in all fields, so as to promote and preserve a peaceful and democratic Iraq with liberty and prosperity for all its citizens and for the entire region. The University anticipates admitting a maximum of 250 new students each Academic year. The initial offerings will include the BBA in Management & Policy Studies and BS in Computer Systems & IT. The University also will open admission for its Master of Business Administration and Master of Public Administration in the coming months. |
