The American University of Iraq - Sulaimani provides financial aid to undergraduate students who demonstrate and document real financial need.  In addition, scholarships are available for graduate students.

In order to maintain the scholarship, recipients of financial aid and scholarships must pass all courses in which they enrolled, including English preparation classes, and maintain a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0.  Students who fall below 3.0 CGPA in any given semester would have one additional semester on the scholarship during which the student’s CGPA would have to be raised to 3.0 in order to keep the scholarship for the duration of the eligibility period.
